| Hostel Guidelines |

- GENERAL RULES
- Hostellers should keep the premises absolutely clean. If any damage is done to the building, furniture, fittings, etc., they will be responsible for it and charges for repairs and/or replacements will be collected from them.
- Hostellers are advised to keep their valuables in Bank Lockers. The management is not responsible for any loss.
- Gates to the hostel will be closed at 7:00 pm everyday. No entry is permitted after the scheduled time.
- Prior permission must be obtained from the manager for those having tuition/extra classes after 7 pm.
- Hostellers may be phoned anytime up to 10:00 pm, except during study hours, i.e., 7 - 8:30 pm on all days. Exceptions in emergency only.
- Use of any addictive substance - tobacco, alcohol, drugs, etc. - is strictly prohibited.
- Ragging is strictly prohibited.
- Hostellers are required to develop cordial relationship and to show concern for one another and live in harmony with hostel staff and neighbours.
- Suggestions for improvement or any concerns about aspects of hostel life may be brought to the manager's notice immediately.
- STUDY AND STUDY HOURS
- 7 - 8:30 pm should be strictly observed as study hours.
- Study hall can be used 24-hours a day. Silence must be maintained at all times during study.
- ATTENDANCE
- Hostellers with a academic attendance record of less than 75% will be denied re-admission for the next season (unless non-attendance is medically justified to the manager's satisfaction).
- VISITORS AND VISITING
- Only parents/guardians can see their children/wards in the foyer.
- No friends are allowed inside the hostel premises.
- OUTINGS
- Saturdays and Sundays are outing days.
- Permission must be obtained from the manager for outings and hostellers must sign the outing register when leaving or arriving.
- Hostellers must go out only in groups or two or more.
- Only parents/guardians can take their children/wards out for the night. Permission may be obtained personally or in writing.
- SICKNESS
- In case of serious illness or injury, a hosteller will be admitted to the nearest hospital/clinic and the parents/guardians will be informed, and they will be entirely responsible thereafter.
- DISCIPLINARY MEASURES
- Hostellers, who indulge in unacceptable behaviour, will be counselled, and may be warned and have their behaiviour brought to the attention of their Parents/Guardians
- Hostellers who spend night(s) out without the manager's permission/indulge in ragging /use addictive substances/are a threat to others/otherwise violate hostel rules are liable to immediate expulsion
- RE-ADMISSION
- Since the hostellers are admitted every year, those wishing to continue in the next academic year must apply for re-admission well in advance and pay Rs. 1000/- for registration (This will be put towards their non-refundable deposits).
